8. Build Stress Resilience

Chronic stress can be damaging to bodies and minds and building stress resilience is another important key. By regularly practicing stress-reducing behaviors, cortisol levels are lowered, reducing shrinkage of the hippocampus (important in memory and learning). Stress-reducing behaviors include mindful walking, breathing exercises, spending time in nature, and laughing.
