10. Promote health

The last key is promoting good health overall. There are a variety of other issues that have an association with dementia risk that are important to consider and address in your life. Getting your eyes checked and having good vision, receiving the appropriate immunizations and health checks, having healthy blood and blood pressure, avoiding smoking, limiting alcohol consumption, maintaining a healthy weight, and having good oral health are all great ways to ensure a healthy body, as well as a healthy mind.
